That sounds like a really action packed movie!

[He probably means television show, though, Tohru. She doesn't watch too much on the T.V. Oh! Although she does like Mogeta! Either way, she can tell that it's something he enjoys a lot.]

It is. I was asked to deliver some paper work since Yuki-kun and I-- [ ER... she can't just say that she lives with him, right?] Since we're friends! [She smiles up at him] He's told me a lot about everyone though. I can tell that he's having a lot of fun every day.

[It's after he says her name that he realized his slip-up... Though it doesn't seem as if she noticed it. Kakeru restrains himself from letting out a sigh of relief. It would've been weird if she asked him why he was being familiar with her.

He thinks for a moment that maybe now's the time to apologize for his behavior when they'd met last... Unfortunately something she says catches his attention and he feels the need to correct her for it. No way he's letting something like that slip past.]

I'm talking about a TV show actually. There have been a couple of movies but its roots is really from the show.

[The look on his face turns pensive. His brows furrow slightly, and he tilts his head in curiosity.]

Yun-yun talks about us? What has he told you?

Oh, a television show? Maybe I will have to try and watch some time!

[Maybe if Yuki watches too, it will give him and his friend something more to talk about? That would be great. She'll have to look into it. She glances back up at him at his question, though. The things he says... a lot of it is complaining. But even then she can tell... he actually doesn't seem angry. Not genuinely so. He's changed a lot since joining the student council.]

He tells me a little bit. About how active and lively everyone is. Something about everyone being color coded...? I think in the beginning he wasn't sure what to think, but I can tell that he's enjoying himself. He seems busy but looks forward to meeting with everyone.

You should! It's one of the greatest shows of all time. And there's all sorts of themes, so you just have to find one that you'd be interested in.

Kakeru can't help but smile a little at that. He's glad that Yuki's lightened up a little. The student council president seemed quite uptight when during his first few weeks but things have definitely changed now.

However, the smile on Kakeru's face turns mischievous, but only for a quick moment. He puts the papers away before turning back to Tohru, letting out an all too heavy sigh of relief as he places a hand on his chest.]

Oh, good. He didn't tell you about the scandalous stories. You wouldn't believe the things that happen in here behind closed doors. I'm sure everyone will be talking about it if word ever gets out.

[She blinks. Attempting to picture what sort of things Yuki could be involved in that were scandalous. All she can really picture though are tales her mother told from back when she was in school. Cigarette burns, dangerous tests to prove worthiness, gang fights...]

Bringing a hand to his forehead, he begins rubbing his temple.]

I can't even bring myself to speak about the things that happen in here. Who knows who could be listening?

H-He's never mentioned anything that could be so nerve-wracking before... [She can't help but peek around the room uncertainly herself.

[Oh man, if you could see the look on your face right now, Tohru. But keeping up the charade was essential right now.]

I always figured he's at least told you to stay away to keep you from danger. That would definitely explain why you haven't been to this neck of the woods before. [He crosses his arms over his chest and nods his head.] Yeah, that makes a lot of sense now.

[Yuki-kun what has been happening to you!? More and more it sounds like a criminal syndicate! Suddenly she's not so sure about his participation in such a dangerous sounding club.]

Sense...? [What does!?] I-I um, I think I should find Yuki-kun...

[All right, all right. That seems like enough torture for one day.]

You know, I was just kidding about the whole thing, Honda-san.

T-Thank goodness. I was trying to figure out how best to rescue Yuki-kun...

[He can't resist a chuckle as he sees how relieved she looks.]

If only I could show you the look on your face. Rest assured, we don't do anything too shady here. Yuki'd never allow us to.

I wondered what the student council members were like in person. I guess it's one thing to hear about it and another thing to experience it! It's a little heart pounding.

[ She lifts a hand up to her chest, her own heart still beating wildly after all of that! ]

I'm glad that I have finally gotten to meet Manabe-san face to face.

[But maybe you shouldn't either. Things can get pretty intense. The next thing he says leaves his mouth before he even thinks it through.]

[...Though what she says gives him pause. This isn't the first time they've spoken after all. For once, he's at a loss for words. He opens his mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. Not at first.]

...Don't you remember?

[That might be nice. She's sure the others are just as interesting, too, if he's anything to go off of.

It's the sudden change that overcomes him though, and surprise that tilts her head back up. She blinks.]

Remember. . . ?

[It's clear she doesn't know what he means

[So she doesn't remember. That definitely made things difficult. Kakeru gave it some thought. On one hand, he could just pretend he'd made a mistake and not bring it up, but that definitely wouldn't sit well with him in the end. But was it right to bring it up if she doesn't remember?

In the end, he decides to pry a bit more, just to be sure where the two of them stood. The look on his face is a little uncertain, which wasn't something he was used to, especially around others.]

This isn't the first time we've met.

[Not the first...? Of course she's seen him from a distance, and knew him from student assemblies, where the student council has addressed everyone. Yuki always takes about him too. It's true that she's thought he looks somehow familiar before, but she's always associated that with those occasions.

When..? Upset, she clearly looks troubled while trying to wrack her brain.]

[ . . . . . . . . Ah.

Eyes widening, she glances up at him in shock. Suddenly her heart seizes up and her breath catches within the back of her throat. It's him....

She remembers him, the memory resurfacing with reluctance. Most of her memories of that day are a fog. To be honest, she went through a number of motions without really thinking on them. And then his words, so angrily spoken--]

At the funeral...

[Hands reaching down, they grasp her skirt tightly and all at once she bows low.]

I'm sorry. [Earnestly spoken, even though she has to draw a breath.] I'm really sorry, I-- [How could she not remember? She's not sure that she even has an excuse.] That day. I-- [It's a blur, truly. She shakes her head, still humbly bent low.]

I didn't mean to act conceited. I don't have an excuse. I- [Her knuckles pull white.] I was in shock still. And not sure what would happen after everything. I was distressed, everything was happening in a blur.

[But she hadn't meant to dismiss the feelings of another. She just hadn't been able to think, or hardly breathe. Everything about that day was painful.]

I should have been more considerate. There were others hurting just as much.

[While Kakeru wasn't sure what to expect, this was definitely wasn't on the list. Far from it. He opens his mouth to interrupt her but no words come out, not immediately. His mouth closes once more as he takes a moment to gather his thoughts.

This was probably his best chance to make amends what with the cat out of the bag and all. She remembered him now, and this was the opening that he had been waiting for...]

You don't have to apologize. In fact, I should be the one apologizing to you, Honda-san. [A pause as he takes a breath.] I'm sorry about my behavior back then. What I said wasn't fair to you, so please don't think much of it.

I may have been annoyed with you in the past but I was being presumptuous.

[His gaze moved to the floor, his grip on the pile of papers tightening without him realizing it. But he continued on, powering through this, as he was doing it for himself and Komaki's sake after all.]

It's like you just said... You had to deal with your own things, too. It must've been a hard on you as well. I should've been the considerate one.

[On some level it felt a little surreal. By now, that day felt so long ago. But the person who stared at her now was completely different from the boy who had spoken to her at the funeral.

Both hands clasped in front of her, and although her smile was a touch sad, it was grateful, too.]

[She glanced back up at him then. While she had blocked out a number of things during that day, there were still some things she remembered. And the name of the girl who had lost her father remained with her.]
